Hayman Island

Earlier this year Mr. AK  treated me to a trip.  “A holiday” as they call it here.

I am spoiled.  It’s true.

This is Hayman Island.  It is located on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia.

I’ve been here twice.  It is now one of my favorite places on earth.

There is so much to do and see.

My only regret is that I can not share all of my photos with you.  {I have hundreds.}B

But I will tell you that hanging at the pool is my favorite activity.

The pool is so much more beautiful than I can show you here.  This year, my room had a patio that led directly into the pool.  I could then swim across to the island in the middle where the staff would come around and serve me ice cold refreshments and food.  (insert huge smiley face here).

Mini-Me’s favorite activity is feeding the fish.

There is one BIG fish in particular.  His name is Jack.  My photo of him did not turn out very good so I showed you a smaller one above.  Let’s just say; precautions had to be taken to ensure that Mini-me (and his little knuckle-less hands) were safe when he fed Jack.

I think that if you asked Mr. AK what his favorite part of the trip was; he would reply the helicopter ride in.

When you make it to Hayman; be sure to arrive by helicopter.  It is a breathtaking sight to behold.

Maybe we’ll see each other there.
